Edit PDFs
These tools change what's on the page itself — stamp a watermark or a signature, black out sensitive content, fill in a form, or edit a page like a picture. Most open inside DocuFlow's full editor.
Before you start
- You need a PDF to work on — for Edit as image, a PDF page already open in the editor, or an image.
- On the web app you must be signed in with your organisation's account. The desktop app works with Add watermark before you sign in; the others need an internet connection either way (see each tool below).
- Add watermark and Sign PDF open their own page from the tools list; Black out parts of a PDF and Edit as image open inside the full editor; Fill PDF forms opens its own page. All are reached from the tools list — search for the tool by name, or open the Edit tab.
Tips
- Every change here previews on the page before you export — nothing is guessed or hidden until the file downloads.
- Changes always run in the same order — Black out, then Page layout, Page numbers, Watermark, Sign, Make text searchable (OCR), Flatten, Remove hidden data, Document details, Compress, Password — whatever order you turned them on in.
- With two or more documents open, tick Export all documents to run every open document's enabled changes at once.
- Add watermark and Sign PDF work as their own page for a quick, one-change job, or as steps inside the full editor when you want to combine them with other changes — use Open in full editor to get there.
- Sanitize PDF, not Black out parts of a PDF, is what removes a file's title, author and other saved details.
- On the desktop app, Add watermark works offline; Sign PDF needs an internet connection.
