The bell

A small number on the bell is how many notifications you haven't read yet. It disappears when there are none, and shows "99+" if there are more than 99. The number refreshes by itself about once a minute while DocuFlow is open on your screen, and straight away when one of your jobs finishes.

To read your notifications:

  1. Select the bell. A panel titled "Notifications" opens with your latest notifications, newest first. Each is a plain sentence, such as "Asha Shrestha shared Budget 2026.xlsx with you.", with how long ago it happened underneath ("5 minutes ago", "yesterday"). Unread ones have a dot.
  2. Select a sentence to go to what it is about. It is marked as read and DocuFlow opens the file or the job's result. On a job's result, select Download; DocuFlow then says where the file went (your browser's downloads, or on the desktop app the place you chose).
  3. To clear the dots without opening anything, select Mark all as read.
  4. Only the latest 20 are shown at first. Select Load more to see older ones.
  5. Press Esc, or select the bell again, to close the panel.

What you'll see when it's done: the number on the bell goes down as you read, and disappears once everything is read.

If you have no notifications yet, the panel says "Nothing to show yet." If they can't be loaded, it says "Notifications can't be loaded right now."
